I thought IBC only used HFCS? Recently I contacted IBC and asked them if they could start using cane sugar. They responded saying that my comment will be taken into consideration, but that they have no plans on changing their sweetener. The reason that they use HFCS alone is why I don't buy IBC often. If they did use cane sugar then I would probably buy it two or three times as much as I currently do.

It’s a pretty darn good root beer. You can see why! AND, it's a smaller bottle! 354ML to be precise. There's something about bottled drinks that I can't quite put my finger on! They taste more freshing, come out colder from the Fridge & because everything a so damn expensive in England, there are very few Glass bottled drinks now. In Fact, Coca-Cola is pretty much the only one. So, drinking out of a Nice, Glass bottle with condensation running down it is a WOW factor over here! Sodas in England Suck to be honest. We have Iron-Brew, Iced Tea & Dandelion & Burdock. YUK. The quality, sizes, variety are all dismal. So when I got my 1st IBC Root Beer from American Soda© I was shaking with excitement! Simply because we don't have the 'Screw-Cap' bottle cap either! So, to twist it off for the first time in my life at the age of 27 was a 'Wow' moment alone! And that's before I even tasted it!So, the smell is incredible. Unlike any other Root beer I've tried; it has an aroma, a bouquet. Almost like a wine. And it is a pleasent experience to indulge your nostrels into this wonderful rising smell!
The taste is extrordinarily sophisticated. It's Deep, Subtle, Tangy & spicey. It's very refreshing to say the least, but this sacrifices some of the potency alas. I wouldn't have it with Ice. It's carbonated near the extreme, & although the head is somewhat absent inside the bottle, to shake it in a circular fashion causes tight, rich & light Brown bubbles to rise & emerge from the bottle kneck opening!
The bottle is tinted with Dark Brown & the name is imprinted in risen letters. I doubt I will be able to claim my 12cents back from the recycling factory though!
IBC is my 2nd favourite only for the obvious reasons of Price, & that A&W is alot more stonger in flavour.IBC is made by the same people who make Mug Root Beer, so it's no surprise that there is a simularity in taste.
IBC - Incredible Best Cold! If it were availible in England for a reasonabler price, my cellar would be stocked all year round with the stuff!
If you haven't tried it, You need to. Because it's so good that you will wonder why it isn't for sale worldwide.

IBC is a Luxury Root Beer here in England!
