Still, for a first time drinker of Hires I think I can say this is one of the best out of the commercialized root beers. It tastes very traditional, yet very very good, and the sweetness is just right. It can't compete with gourmet root beers such as Sprecher, yet it is worthy of an 80 out of 100. Wow. I remember this being one of the biggest brands, yet I haven't seen it in what must be at least 5 years. I live in Arizona, so I wonder if whoever bottles it doesn't distribute it here. We also can't get Mr Pibb, which is the biggest pain in the a^^ in the world. I’ve been gradually reviewing root beers for about the last 4-5 years, and I just noticed this is the only national brand on my list not found yet.
I remember this being one of the biggest brands, yet I haven’t seen it in what must be at least 5 years.
