there is not too much to be said about this brew. it is sort of blah. not bad at all but not the greatest thing since pink peeps or anything. let me see… a bit of a bitterness to it which is not so bad really. not sweet enough at first but you get used to it. and not very bubbly although it seems to be so. just pretty regular for a sarsapirilla.

Ingredients: carbonated water, cane sugar, caramel color, natural flavor, citric acid, preserved with sodium benzoate

I’m gonna be the lone dissenter here. I really like this stuff. Manhattan Special uses real sarsaparilla flavoring and this is how I imagine that sarsaparilla is supposed to taste (not like root beer). I only wish it (and for that matter, all of the non-coffee M.S. flavors) were more readily available but they’re not, at least in Manhattan.
