another generic root beer really in brand, but not as much in taste. it has this little spice-y bite to it right after you swallow. rather tasty stuff actually. packaging is quite lame though, yeh. i am not sure where this can be gotten, i found it in a convience store on Rt 9 in Freehold, NJ or there-abouts.

kinda watery but otherwise it is not so bad. the pure fructose sweetening really seems to add a sort of fruity taste to it also. one of the best “natural” root beers i have had. so that is a good thing. i’d never seek it out or chose it above most normal kinds but still, if you want to go for that natural junk, try it out.

Ingredients: filtered carbonated water, high fructose corn sweetener, natural root beer flavor and caramel color (from fructose)

do they not realize their beverages taste like canned poop? can they really think people like this? DO people actually like this? they scare me whoever they are, if they are out there. anyway, this tastes like canned cardboard with some licourice thrown in for fun and funk. don’t get it.

when you take each drink of this it seems good and pretty yummy. but after a little bit you get this aftertaste that is not so good. it has a taste like they use unrefined sugar which makes it more like the natural root beers out there. not a bad thing in itself. i think some people will like this a lot, but i can’t get too into it myself.

Ingredients: carbonated water, sugar, caramel color, natural and artificial flavors

Snapple Tru Root Beer

April 14, 1998
Filed under: root beers — anthony @ 4:14 pm
Type: Root Beer Comes In: 16oz glass bottle
Available: discontinued Obtained in: Bound Brook, NJ
Head: Tiny Sweetener: high fructose corn syrup

a strange drink. somehow licorice is somewhat a flavor for root beer. to me that is not right really. maybe as a slight little tinge or something, but still i do not enjoy it. but it actually kinda works here, perhaps since it is the predominent taste and it is rather sweet without being syrupy or anything like that at all. i would not call it root beer though. oh well. and it is crazy hard to find for such a huge company, harder than cherry lime rickey which rocks.

Ingredients: filtered carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and natural root beer flavor.
