Harris Teeter Root Beer

it is ok. i mean, it is a store brand generic root beer. it tastes like what people would want at a picnic or barbeque when they want a root beer. which is fine but not unusual or unique. and sometimes there is something to be said for a root beer that is nothing more than “a root beer” as our founding fathers (and obviously this “Harris Teeter” fellow) intended. a decent fizz. sweet but not too much so. a little of that “root”-ness that makes it root beer going on also. not bad, not great.
Ingredients:carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sugar, caramel color, potassium benzoate (a preservative), gum acacia, quillaia, artificial and natural flavor

Rite Aid Big Fizz Root Beer

well, maybe it is because this has been in my refrigerator for over a year, but the promise of “big fizz” is totally a fake out as this has NO fizz that i can see. actually i am quite sure this has gone bad. but i will still review it for now and get a new bottle soon so this may be amended eventually. um yeh, very syrupy and sweet, overly so. which is weird as i usually like such things. i guess there is a limit on such things though. for 99 cents i suppose it could be worse, but it is kind of not so great. i’d just go the extra 1/4 mile to shoprite and get some of their soda i think
