this right here is another brand i got in a trade from a fellow who is either A. a big fan of Kramer from Seinfeld, B. a big fan of old soccer teams from NJ or C. there is no C this time. he just threw this one in, surprising me a bit. i could probably get it myself as Supervalu own a whole ton of grocery store chains like Acme, Albertsons and Star Market. nonetheless it is much easier to have something come in a box on your doorstep of course.
i do like the concept here, all natural, no high fructose corn syrup, etc, especially from a big chain store like this. often though, the soda itself does not quite stack up, unfortunately. but there are cases where it does, so i will keep my hopes up somewhat here. i like natural stuff. why not? although i never quite get at what point something becomes artificial. i mean, everything had to come from nature at some point, right? that is all we have to work with. even if you are taking the oxygen from water and combining it with some nitrogen from the air to make NO or whatever, it was all natural. or maybe i am just not getting it. onward!
hhhmmm,, it does taste natural, kind of sharp and a little bit herbal. yet still a rather strong taste with a sharp carbonation edge. i wonder what it is about the natural sodas that give a lot of them that same essence, distinct to that sub-genre. it is not the cane sugar as other cane sugar sodas don’t have it. this one is decent. a bit better than your usual store brand soda, not overly sweet and sticky. it is a bit harsh for my tastes though, it does not flow down well. i feel like it is the carbonation feeling “hard” and harsh somehow. it is fine on its own but i don’t think i would want it with a meal or something.
Ingredients:carbonated water, sucrose (cane sugar), caramel color (from cane sugar), natural citric acid, natural gum acacia, natural flavors.
