a very anticipated soda. i had heard that it was amazing and that it was awful and mediocre. i must side with the first camp, this is one incredible soda! really creamy, just the right amount of anise and other flavors that combine to really make you want more and more. always more. it is rather sweet, but that is actually how i like it. i can understand some no liking it. but those people have no taste buds.

I just want to say, The way I review my root beers is like this. I drink them warm, room temp and right out of the bottle. This is how I like mine best.
So I never notice the “Head” or foaminess. I feel if the drink is to cold, it dulls the flavor, but I do sometimes chill them if they are to warm.
With that said, I finally tried route 66.
Boy this was good. I gave it a 90 out of a 100. I felt it had a “dark” taste that come from molasses. Molasses was not listed, but caramel color was.
Caramel color is made or can be made from burning sugar, so that could be the taste I thought was “dark”
