so i have had 3 cans of this so far and i still have nothing to say about it. let me see… it has a sort of snappy bite to it, but it just doesn’t impress me much. it is not bad at all, i just had hoped for more i guess. i shouldn’t believe the hype. anyway, rather tasty really, a bit too carbonated though.
I’ve not had this for ages, but as a teen (60’s/70’s) I lived on/for Canfield’s Root Beer (and I could buy/have just about any root beer) .. the brew came in a 16oz brown glass bottle and (back in the day) cane sugar.
Superficially one would assume they would use the same recipe, but the “can” you show is a let down and of course HFCS is another negative. It seems a shame that a past winner could be dummed down to just a root beer in a brand’s stable
