Jumpin Johnny’s Root Beer

this is another brand that people keep recommending to me so i finally broke down and ordered it from beveragesdirect.com. i actually had been meaning to place that order for a year at least but then the day i did sit down to order, they were carrying this soda in addition to the 3 i had planned to order! aw yeh! cool junk. so yeh, the soda. it is good. i can’t really taste the honey which is unusual since it is pretty strong in other brews with honey. very creamy. i really almost get a cream soda taste going on, which i mean in the best way, even if i hate cream soda. it is also very sweet, clocking in with 46g of sugar. nice! i might have to order more of this one day.

    Hi Anthony,

LOVE your website! My middle son and I have been collecting root beer bottles together for about 13 of his 17 years of age. Your site has always been a great resource, and I wanted to thank you. Due to you, we tried Sarnac this summer while on the way to Cooperstown and have a new favorite.

I am hoping that you might help me locate a bottle, sort of my elusive “White Whale.” My son’s name is Johnny and for years I’ve been trying to find him a bottle of Jumpin’ Johnny’s. From everything I can tell (checking all over Michigan) and from their now defunct website, it seems they’re out of business.

If you have a lead on a bottle (doesn’t have to be full) I’d love to try to obtain one and give it to him for his graduation next June (trust me, this kid would love something like this – he’s been raised with a taste for the root!

Here’s hoping you can help me track this one down!

  2. i will look, i may still have a really old bottle left somewhere. otherwise i would suggest ebay. but i will keep my eyes peeled too.
