from what i understand, the guy who runs Real Soda in Real Bottles Rocketfizz is a nephew or something of the famous legal arbiter, one of the original reality TV superstars, Judge Wapner! so he thought the Judge should have his own root beer as what could be more natural of a pairing as a dude who has been off tv for a good 15 or so years and a microbrew soda? for real. no joke. ok, maybe a little as it is a weird combo, but whatever.
the graphic design here is more detailed and higher quality than most other of the Real Soda offerings but could still be improved a bit. i do like that they took advantage of the ability to print text directly on the bottle. where most people seem to put some manufacturing code or something, they had it say “JUDGE FOR YOURSELF.” those wacky people! but that is a fun thing.
also like other Real Soda sodas, the taste here is not quite the usual, expected flavor. and that is a very good thing. the taste here is sort of a rich caramel taste, smooth yet sweet and deep. i like it. not love, but like. which is fine. it is recognizable as a root beer, just with that added element to make it unique. there is a very high carbonation level in this drink, yet it does not result in a lot of gassy feelings or belching or whatever.

Hi Anthony. I sent you an email the other day but in case you overlooked it I want to re-send one to you. Thanks again for your review of the Judge Wapner Root Beer. Wow, Lots of “legal” Problems over this root beer, LoL.
I gave this an 80, it was pretty good, but did not stand out heads above any other. I thought it was slightly acidic.
I bought some new root beers with my tax return.
One I bought is called ” Gene Autry” Root beer.
It has Gene standing next to a horse on the label.
The website/company is Rocket fizz, so I checked them out and I suspect the Judge wapner and Gene Autry root beer are exaclty the same, but with a differant label.
The company does not claim or even deny this, I am just thinking from the looks of the other goofy labels they have for sodas that this is the case.
I tried this root beer yesterday. It had a Real Soda in Real Bottles cap on it – so perhaps it was an old/expired bottle. But, this root beer was not very good. It had a stale flavor, did not taste fresh, and was very bland & boring. I gave this a 63. Perhaps I will try to see if there is a fresher bottle of this stuff.

Yes, very carmel-ey in the flavor dept. so it was a little unexpected. Not great in my book, but not terrible. I could only have one or two of these, as they’re a bit sweet too.
