yeah, yeah, it is a store brand, sort of, but there is a catch here. at least i think so. you see, my wife and i went to Aruba for our honeymoon. i was determined to find a new root beer. i mean, the place is so Americanized there has to be a root beer on the island someplace, right? finally on our last day there i went to a supermarket and found this stuff! as there was no way i was going to bring a 3 liter bottle home to drink and it was not refrigerated to begin with, i had to make do and use my super duper root beer tasting skills in the parking lot to make some notes do this review later (well, now. not now when you are reading this, the now when i am writing this, which is a while ago in your time). after the note taking, i dumped it out and threw the bottle away in a regular roadside garbage can with regret as there was no recycling to be found anywhere on this tropical paradise. you can even see the concrete wall and ground of said parking lot where i took the
so just now i tried to look up this brand on the ole world wide intertubes. i found it is indeed an American brand, available in the Southeast and in the Caribbean. ok, so it is not quite as exciting as before. not that it was so exciting before mind you, but a root beer from Aruba is fun in the novelty sense. no matter really though.
this is a generic, store brand root beer and tastes like it. it is fine. nothing offensive here. but it is not excellent. it exists as something cheap to drink when you want something that tastes like common root beer. sticky sweet, quite a bit of carbonation and a little bit of creaminess. for a store brand it is ok, not the best but not at all the worst. you may as well go predictable when your audience is budget shoppers.
