this is the current Kmart store brand. i am not sure if this is a new line for Kmart to carry or if i just never looked at Kmart for soda or if i just actually have not been in a Kmart in a decade or so, but i have not reviewed this soda yet so that is what matters! actually i have not reviewed a soda at all in about 6 months which is very weird. i think i am rusty and can only hope this review turns out alright anyway. it is probably not a good choice on my part though to start off with a store brand. there is never too much to say about them.
the design work here is curious, it is kind of 80s and geometric and almost making an effort but it comes off as generic and pretty ugly anyway. i assume it is supposed to evoke ice cubes and carbonation? makes sense on a soda but i feel like it is more modern art than that when i first look at it. also i am not sure i understand the thought bubble with the brand name in it, is there a deeper meaning to that? probably not, i am sure it just was interesting to the design student they hired to do this branding or whatever.
the taste? it is ok. mostly generic, a little over sweetened, a bit of a burnt sugar taste that does add a little bit of interest to it over the usual level of store branded sodas. yet the carbonation level is rather high so it becomes almost harsh. i wouldn’t get it all the time but it will do if i must have it.

I was driving by Kmart and thought, why not check if they have root beer. Sure enough they did. I gave it a 55. but no rating from you for what you think.
