Always Save Root Beer

the first strike here is that this is an “Artificially Flavored Root Beer Soda.” now, who would decide that that is a good thing to put on your product? seriously? does that entice people to buy it? you have natural flavors supposedly too, why not tout that instead? the graphic design as a whole is pretty weak though. not that many generic store brands do a great job on design work anyway, but they really dropped the ball extra hard on their friends’ toe on this one. such is the way of the world though. why spend money on making it look nice when people want to pay as little as possible for their sugary bubble drink.
i don’t know what this costs in a store. i do know it is going to cost me a good amount since i traded for it and the deal was 2 or 3 or so glass bottles which i will have to ship, so probably around $12 maybe? hey when i am running out of sodas to review, $12 is a decent deal for a new one, even a generic. i don’t think i would do it again, or for just the store brand really as this trade involved 2 other sodas also. i may have been able to find this eventually myself, even though they have no stores on the east coast, yet i gave in and just did the trade.
this soda is not offensive. it is fine and exactly what you expect for what it is. generic root beer, nothing more, nothing less. tasty but not great or comparable to good stuff.

  1. Me and my wife celebrated our 20 year wedding anniversary. So we went on a really long road trip, we went to about 12 states and drove over 4000 miles. I went into every store I could find searching for root beer. I came home with 45 new brews, and this was one of them.

It truly is a store brand and pretty generic, I give this a 45.
