so this may be the same as Deerfield Root Beer as it is only available at Walgreens, it comes in the same distinctive size and shape bottle and the Deerfield stuff disappeared when this appeared. but i will feign ignorance and review it on its own anyway. i will also not read that review until after i write this one to see how it stacks up. as my memory is awful, i don’t really recall how it was anyway so it will be all new to me.
this is actually quite good! it is very sweet but they don’t overdo it. i really think real sugar makes the difference here, as it is not syrupy and sticky tasting. i have been asked a few times if i can really tell the difference between sugar and corn syrup sweetened drinks and i usually say no but i have not really tried it. mainly because to be fair, it really should be the same soda made both ways. so i will have to get some Mexican and domestic Coke or something and try it out. or Biloxi Barqs and regular. one day… anyway… the flavor is mainly standard, root beer barrel candy-ish, but i like that. i would say that it ventures away a bit with some extra creaminess not present so much in mainstream sodas. i give kudos to Walgreens for producing this. so let me see if this matches up to my 5 year old review… yeah, pretty similar. oh well, they probably are the same. no matter.

They are the same. I contacted the company when this first appeared and they confirmed it. Also it has been discontinued.
