Pure Sodaworks Root Beer #4

this one is another result of a trade with Brad. I had heard of this company but had not tried too hard to obtain the root beer. so when it was offered to me, i figured i may as well jump on it instead of ordering a case or bothering them to try to send me samples to review.
i like natural stuff as you probably wouldn’t have guessed from me reviewing pretty un-natural sodas for nearly 20 years. i love when i find a really good product that happens to be natural. i hope this falls into that catagory and not into the much larger vile product probably because it is natural.
the label is different. i get a Willy Wonka vibe from it for some reason, perhaps the swirly background reminds me of the weird videos shown during the boat scene or maybe just because Wonka bars had a background not unlike that if my memory served me right, which it often does not. the color is a bit unusual for a root beer, a much lighter brown than what is expected. that is fine by me, keep it natural, no need for artificial colors or even caramel color really. there is also stuff floating in it, which they do warn about on the label and also there is nothing wrong with, just different so i point it out.
on first sip, or if i wait a while between drinks for my tongue to reset, this tastes very cinnamon to me. it is quite spiced in a good way. and sweet, but also in a good way, not too much. but it does have a bit of a sour note in there too which i am not a huge fan of. it has a decent head and carbonation which surprised me a bit, often natural sodas do not. it does not taste like another other root beer i have had, and that is saying something. does that make it bad as a root beer? i say no. i like it. i don’t love it but it is a good take on root beer and different than any other take has been so that is a tricky thing. i would get more if i could do so easily.
