awesome! yet another soda (or should i say “brew” in this case?) that i really didn’t think i would be able to get which Tony traded to me. I actually did not even know they bottled this, so it was a very pleasant surprise when he offered it up.
the label is simple, somewhat an afterthought it seems. it makes me think they worried more about the product itself than the presentation. i mean for an Ohio brewer to be using Hawaiian cane sugar is dedication in itself. or maybe not. i really have no idea where most cane sugar comes from, it could be that 99% of cane sugar in the US comes from Hawaii anyway so I have been having it all along and not known it.
the drink itself is pretty simple as well. they don’t pull any funny stuff but they make a really excellent beverage. it is smooth and sweet and nicely flavored. i really enjoy this. despite being not too unique, it becomes unique by doing it so well. each element is perfectly balanced. yes, it would be even better if they had some special twist that worked equally well. nonetheless i can’t argue with a root beer that is this solid and straight up. nice job Brew Kettlers!
