Rocket Fizz Boosted Root Beer

so it is a Wednesday as I write this. Wednesday mornings for the past about 11 years I have taught a 5:45 am indoor cycle (spin) class at a nearby gym. as I moved around a year ago, that gym is not quite as nearby as it once was so at this point I have to get up at around 4:40 am to get there on time. in general, when it is not Wednesday, I do not get up at 4:40 am. the result being that I am often kind of tired on many Wednesdays. I figured that was the perfect time to review this drink, which is caffinated and energy-ified with guarana and ginseng and such things. I am not usually one to drink caffeine or energy things on the daily. so this should be interesting indeed.
well, this is ok. I suppose the weird stuff they threw in here mess with the taste as it is a bit off, kind of bitter at first. as a root beer it is not great. as a drink in general it is okay. as an energy drink, it seems good. but again, I have only had a few energy drinks in my life, all of them root beer flavored, so for the broad energy drink category I am not the best judge. but for root beer energy drinks, I may be the expert! LOL and this one is probably the best of those that I have had so far. I do actually have at least two more in my fridge/queue so it may be overtaken quite soon. it tastes like a root beer in the middle of the flavor, after that bitter thing fades a bit and before this other taste comes in that reminds me of the aspertame aftertaste a bit. it is something you feel in the corners of your mouth. so if you need an energy boost with your root beer, check this out I suppose.
