I don’t like going into a review with per-concieved notions. granted, that is almost impossible. we all judge by appearances and probably get some sort of idea of expectations from the name or ingredients or whatever. this being a diet root beer alters my hopes for it. but more than that, it being from Zevia makes me expect the worst. their previous two offerings were awful to say the least. they seem to have moved to Los Angeles and drastically decreased their ingredients. granted a lot of what they listed before may now be “natural flavors” but the nutrition info also changed. plus it is clear now. that change I fully endorse. the rest of it, well, let me try it and see.
oh geez, this is awful. being as unbiased as I can be. I am a hopefully, glass half full, always optimistic person I’d say but yeah, this is just bad. i taste a slight hint of ginger but otherwise it is just a metal, bitter, terrible, awful, no good, very bad drink right here. I am frankly shocked that this company remains in business, that people buy this and someone must actually enjoy it. I’d say there is zero resemblance to root beer here as well. it is just plain icky.
