this is not to be confused with Tom Bosley and any endeavor he might have had post-Happy Days. I could see him having a root beer actually as it would sort of fit the character and all. anyway… I came upon Todd Bosley’s World Famous Root Beer in one of my Amazon searches that surprisingly is occasionally fruitful. this time I found two new brands, this one having a diet as well. I ended up not actually buying any of them on amazon in the end. i had to contact the company to find out if it was a vanity label thing or their original recipe somehow. they assured me it was not a vanity label, but I am still a little skeptical I will admit. it just looks too much like a generic soda label type deal. but who am I to not believe the company themselves?! apparently this is a prodict of the Bargain Barn which is a chain of sorts of closeout stores in the Midwest area. I always enjoy that type of store although the ones I used to go to as a kid all either disappeared or became sort of fake versions of themselves with just cheap junky items instead of random weird stuff that fell off a truck or something. I am curious what these stores are like, perhaps one day I can get there myself. anyway, onwards!
this drink is root beer for sure. creamy smooth and well carbonated. the carbonation is high but it works out here. when a soda is enhanced by the carbonation that is a definite plus. I mean, it is a soda so should be carbonated in my mind but that carbonation should not take over the whole thing. the flavor could be a little stronger but it is good enough, more of a soda to enjoy along with a meal than something to savor on its own I would say. I enjoy this yet it is not an exceptional drink, yet it goes down smooth and tasty and a little too quickly.
