I have been after this Canadian brew for some time now and at last is it mine!! woo hoo! sadly my memory is awful so I am not sure where I got it as it has been in my fridge for a bit now. so if you are the person responsible, I thank you very heartily and apologize very profusely for my shoddy recollections.
this is probably the most Canadian sounding soda brand I have ever come across. I guess if a moose was involved somehow that would increase the stereotyping of the land of frozen plains.
they are very proud of the yucca root extract they used in here. I have not really taken extensive notes on the subject but it does seem to make for a creamier beverage when yucca is involved, so perhaps that is what they are going for here.
yes, definitely, the prominent feature / taste of this beverage is the creaminess. I am currently very thirsty after a long sunday of running, yard work, house repairs and general adult nonsense on this 90+ degree day. so I can say this goes down very smooth and makes me want more. now, that could be the thirst talking of course but I would say I’d enjoy this no matter the situation. of course they are not breaking new ground with this drink, but it is a good step above more generic sodas. they put some time and care into this recipe. caramel is the secondary taste note here, beyond the root beer normal-ness obviously. so that blends well with the creamy smoothness.
