in general I would say I am a reasonably healthy person. I run and/or bike almost every day, compete in races doing such things, have been vegetarian for almost 30 years, eat reasonable well, so perhaps a healthy soda is not really targeted to me. I mean, maybe it is, being healthy? but I feel like this sort of thing is more for people who drink a load of soda and just can’t consider not doing so. but the thing is, they almost never taste any good. maybe this one will though, right?
let me see…. well it is not awful. it tastes kind of like a lot of other “healthy” root beers I have had. it is very fruity tasting I suppose is what I mean by that, sort of lemony and maybe apple-ish? that results in it not really being too “rooty” in flavor. it also has that stevia taste which many do not mind but I don’t enjoy. the sweetness level is ok beyond the stevia thing. carbonation is pretty spot on. let me look at the ingredients and see what I am actually drinking…. oh, apple cider vinegar, apple juice, lemon juice, I was pretty accurate here, huh. ah, agave! yeah, that doesn’t help the cause either. if you are craving root beer, this will not fit the bill in my opinion. if you want something fizzy and sweet-ish, then you could do worse than this.
