ok, hang on, I have to see if this one even fits in my database or if that is too long… ok, phew I made it 100 char long! smart thinking anthony of 2002 or whenever I created that database!! now that I run a little query, this is actually not the longest at all, coming in at 55 char long. that honor goes to Original New York Seltzer Classic Blend Root Beer Sparkling Water with 65 char! huh.

now, this is an interesting concept, one that never would have occurred to me, I mean who decides that beans and root beer are two tastes that really belong together? although there are a bunch of recipes for baked beans flavored with root beer, so it is not the craziest thing ever. but in those recipes the bean is the main thing going on, the root beer is more of a side flavor. mesquite beans with a bit of root beer flavor sounds pretty good, but when the root beer becomes the main thing, it seems not a good thing, I am all in favor of people trying new things in the root beer world, so do your nuttiest out there so I have more things to review. and hey, this could be super good, right?
oh, it is weird. yeh, it is indeed like a smoky bean flavored root beer, just as they seemed to be going for. well, success Southside Craft Soda people, you did what you wanted! which I am sure you knew already, and have no need for my vote of confidence in your recipe creation. although again I don’t really endorse the end result’s flavor. there is just a lot going on here. root beer is the main taste, some wintergreen and sassafras. the smoky bean is quite prominent as well though, right behind the root beer flavor. then a bit of honey hits you, which is a good taste but buried and overwhelmed by the bean. I don’t like this. I feel like maybe it could be good if it was just a touch of mesquite, but it is not. thus it is really pretty bad.
