Rocket Fizz Gold Mine Root Beer

for quite a while now I did not realize that there was both a Rocket Fizz Gold Mine Root Beer and a Rocket Fizz Gold Mine Sarsaparilla. not that I get to a Rocket Fizz location all that often anyway, but I was excited to realize this was indeed a new soda. at least I think it is. really, with Rocket Fizz, you never really know. the ingredients are different than their other offerings so I feel pretty confident that this is unique. but is it any good?
well, it looks cool. melted wax over the top with a Rocket Fizz seal brand thing, which I am sure has a real name but I cannot think of or look up at the moment. but for the $6.99 this costs, plus tax of course, you expect both a great package and a very tasty drink.
it does not really disappoint in either regard. which is very nice, especially at the moment since I just cycled about 30 miles and ran a couple more, so I am rather thirsty and in need of carbs to replenish. if this was not tasty I would have to drink something else entirely for that purpose. phew! this has a nice spice to it. it is mainly a licorice flavor but also notes of cinnamon and a little clove. sure, it is not the most unique, yet it does well what it does. plus if you somehow buy five of these, manage to peel off the label cleanly and collect the “stock certificates” on the side, you can redeem it for a free 12 oz Death Valley Root Beer. seems a lot of work to me, you should at least get another one of these I’d think….
