this is another soda I came upon during my family summer vacation and one which I was quite excited to get. birch beers are even more difficult to find than root beers and I am bit more partial to them if I do say so. I quite like that this has only natural birch flavor, not artificial stuff. that is a very rare thing, I cannot recall the last drink I had that has no artificial flavors. so good job there Weis people!
they also did a good job on the taste of this one! it has a nice wintergreen flavor and a well balanced sweetness level. the carbonation is just right too, being present and adding to the experience but not going beyond that and taking over the taste. I do prefer a little but more wintergreen but this will do. my one comment otherwise is that there seems to be a strange film it leaves on my lips and tip of my tongue after each drink. I can’t say I have ever experienced that before. it could just be me though for some other reason. beyond that this is a really good drink and exceptional for a store brand soda. if I were closer to a Weis store I would get this more often.
