just weak. watery, quick dying fizz and not much flavor to it. i had remembered this being at least decent but it isn’t too good at all this time. bad can? maybe. or else it is just not as yummy as my boyhood recollections tell me. alas, boyhood is fleeting.

strangely, i see O’Sippie orange and grape soda at OddLot and junk sometimes but i have never seen the root beer. guess it is more popular and junk. anyway. it says all over it “100% Natural Soda” but the ingredients don’t seem all that natural. corn sweetener, carmel color, citric acid… i dunno, not UN-natural of course but if they are gonna promote it that way i’d think they would have more natural junk. no matter though. the taste is good. a little more subtle than most brews. something you could drink and not really think about and that doesn’t leave a real impression. which is nice sometimes.

Available: discontinued Obtained in: Somerset, NJ
Head: Large Sweetener: high fructose corn syrup

i just stumbled upon this really in a quest for another brand. but i was very happily surprised that this is really very good. creamy, rich, full, not at all watered down or made all dumb by ridiculous flavors that don’t belong in root beer, just good, solid root beer. and a cool bottle. funny in a way, they warn that it is not a sports drink on it.

Available: NJ, NY Obtained in: Somerset, NJ
Head: None Sweetener: white grape juice

i just do not know how people can get away with calling stuff root beer that so is NOT rootbeer. i mean, this is glorified grape juice with fizz. and it tastes a darn lot like sparkling grape juice, which is fine if they did not claim it was root beer. smells kinda root beer like, but not all that much. oh well, tried. failed

Ingredients: purified carbonated water, high fructose corn sweetener, pure vanilla, natural wintergreen, anise, cassia oil and other natural flavors, (herbal source) caramel color.
