of course Sagi got this for me, yes, i owe that kind fellow a massive debt. i don’t know at all how he found this one or who actually makes it. the label says the design is inspired by a label used by the Platteville Brewery in 1936 and it does appear that way. it is simple yet nice. basic fonts, good color choices, i am in favor of the direction they went.
the beverage itself is very good. not excellent or amazing, but very good. it has most of the elements i look for in a root beer, it is creamy, rich, smooth, caramelly, good foam, nice mouth feel, but it lacks the extra spices or variation to make it stand above. there are many root beers very similar to this in the world and i suppose it is better that more regions have this sort of thing, a microbrew that is definitely much better than mass market drinks, yet the quest is about finding that drink that is even better, even more. the people behind this have nothing to be ashamed of, they made a good drink that i’d be happy to serve as what root beer should taste like.
