mmm, that is good. spicy but in a really good way. anise i think is the main spice here. a pretty high level of carbonation too. nonetheless it is creamy. which is weird, that it can be at once spicy, creamy and very bubbly, they don’t seem to be things that can happen together. but i suppose they don’t, it is more of a sequence. this is not a root beer i would want to gulp down at all. i am savoring every mouthful. especially since i only got 2 bottles. but at the price it costs to ship glass bottles across the country, i think that is understandable.

This was good, I gave it an 80, I really liked the Old fashion root beer taste. Kind of tasted like the root beer barrel candies. Rick b
I agree with rick, but mine seemed a little flat. So my rating was a little low. If I get more of the stuff I will see if it changes.
This is hands down the best root beer I have ever tasted.
This root beer was not all that. The first initial taste is pretty darn good, but then the aftertaste is bad. It tastes somewhat rancid and bitter; kind of like sour milk. I tend to be able to taste this in many root beers. Yes, this root beer has a very nice “anisey” flavor; but the bitter aftertaste just ruins it for me. I’d give this a 71 out of 100. I would not reccommend this root beer. Try their sarsaparilla instead.
Definitely one of the best.
I like when a root beer like this stands out. Exceptional
Please delete my first comment. This root beer is absolutely delicious! Perhaps I got a bad bottle the first time, but this time I was in spicey creamy heaven! Sweet as the Dickens, but not in a way that makes you not want to drink it. I’d buy cases of this stuff. Nice licorice flavor that we all know and love too. 91 out of 100!
