Ohio Pop Bigfoot Root Beer

I believe I emailed the people behind this soda asking if I could order some of their product. To this they replied that they would do better than that, they would send me a bottle to review! And they actually followed through on it, which some companies never in fact do. But that fact will of course not cloud or influence my review in any way, I am a professional after all and all it like I see it.
right off the bat, I see a very unique and cool label so that is a plus. don’t call it a soda though, this my friends, is a pop!
upon tasting it, there is a distinctive zing to it. hhhmmm, I want to guess what that is before I check the ingredients. if they even list it that is. it is a little fruity, a bit zippy but I cannot place it. ok, I give up, let me look…. oh wow, there is a pile of stuff in here! no wonder I couldn’t place it. I was thinking nutmeg and maybe burdock but that seemed a little random but they are both in here, along with tarragon which I have never seen in a root beer, wintergreen, star anise, licorice root, ginger and more traditional root beer stuff like sarsaparilla root and vanilla. this is quiet the assemblage of stuff. it results in a unique soda for sure. it is not my favorite pop ever, but I like it. more of a sipping, savoring drink though. it reminds me of what I would hope really old root beer recipes were like, although I do not think they were from what I have encountered and read about. but it is awesome that they are trying to branch out and experiment enough to come up with something different yet enjoyable too.
