Skinny Sticks Maple Root Beer

I feel like we are in a very good root beer time right now. for a while, there were loads of new sodas, then many went out of business and no new ones seemed to replace them but in the past couple of years there have been a load of new brands appearing. sure it could be that I just happen to be finding out about them more lately and it is a sort of ebb when I meet new people to trade with or who share info with me. granted I don’t think I have enough to go back to weekly reviews again. or at least not enough to last me terribly wrong. I do think I have about 15 or so new brews in my fridge right now, some of which are re-formulations, but that is only four months or so when posted weekly.
so anyway, I very much like maple. it may be my favorite sweetener. that or honey but probably maple. there are a few other maple root beers out there or ones sweetened with maple so I am excited to try this one. oh, that is maple-y! woo! really it is the dominant flavor. The root beer taste creeps in more at the end and in the aftertaste, nice and smooth and very sweet. I enjoy the progression of the taste from maple to basically a standard root beer taste, it is interesting and although it ends kind of predictably, the whole experience is unique. they really must update their nutrition info as 42g of sugar is definitely not 2% of the recommended daily value! a little cut and paste error going on there Skinny Sticks! good try though. lol
the head on this one is massive and very long lasting. I don’t care a whole lot but it is aesthetically pleasing if nothing else. if you enjoy maple or just want a little different root beer experience, give this a shot.
