here we have the last of the four 2022 Father’s Day root beer variety pack from Northern Soda. I actually thought this one was not new but a repeat, but I was confusing it with the Northern Soda Company Vanilla Bean Sarsaparilla. I seem to recall that one was good so my hope is this is tasty as well.
and I am oh so wrong, this is absolutely awful. as I child I had to take these two liquid medicines a lot to help my asthma and allergies. this tastes like a combo of both of them. one was like a cherry sort of flavor and one was I don’t know what flavor but that is most what this tastes like. perhaps if you took like artificial maple syrup without any maple sweetness but more of a heavy molasses type sweetness, threw in some smoke flavor and straight vanilla extract. I am saddened that they could do a quite good vanilla sarsaparilla but the root beer is atrocious.
