they say on the label that it is “Root Beer” like you’ve never tasted,” which i thought would be kinda difficult as it will be the 150th root beer i have reviewed. but then i got thinking, and pretty much all of them DO taste different, so it is possible… and if fact, yes, it is rather different than any other root beer i have had. it has a real burnt corn syrup taste to it that i kind of like but which kind of makes me feel ill. i like it alright but i am not going to order more or anything. if it was local, i may get it on occasion, but it is not at all. so, nice bottle, alright soda.

Best root beer I have ever tasted!
This is one of my favorites, in my top three. Why? Because I detect the essence of yeast. Yeast is not listed as an ingredient, but it seems present. This reminds me of the home brewed root beer from when I was a kid. It makes me smile every time I take a swig of Iron Horse. And beyond that, to me it tastes great.

This one fared rather poorly in my taste test of local/regional rbs. Not horrible but not really a great one either. Memorable for some kind of spice–which did make it stand out. Just never sure that I liked that taste.
I tried this root beer a year or two ago, and I was weirded out by the flavor in a kind of good – but also bad way. Upfront it has a really unique, good root beer flavor that is strong. But then I have to agree with Anthony that it does give off a really odd – yet unique “burnt corn syrup” flavor. I am really going to have to give this soda another shot; because I am not sure if my taste buds agree with this burnt corn syrup flavor. It too kind of gave me a headache and made me feel ill due to this flavor and the the overpowering sweetness did not help either. I cannot give it a 100% honest score, since I must review this weird soda again (and am scared/anxious to do so). But, based on my one try I would give it an 80.
