Pittsburgh Soda Pop Spiced Root Beer

so i think i have the proper ratio of seltzer to syrup down at last! one and a half cups of seltzer removed from a one liter bottles is about right. for me at least. other people may want it weaker or stronger so i guess that is the beauty of mixing the syrups up yourself, you can do that!
the “spiced” aspect of this is supposed to be cinnamon and clove. and they would know, they made the stuff after all. i definitely get the clove, it is a sort of bitter kick, but not in as bad a way as the American Classic i don’t think, although that one may be taking a hit as the first one of these that i tried. oh well. the cinnamon though i do not detect as much. i think it is overwhelmed in the overall mix.
this one i think i expected to be crazy spicy and just in my face but it is not so much. i mean, it is definitely spiced but not incredibly so, even with the increased ratio of syrup to fizzy water. that is ok though. so far it is the best of the Pittsburgh Soda Pop syrups though so don’t think i am knocking it. too much spice may have been a bad thing really.
i may just have to order some of the other, non-root beer-ish, flavors also. not that i really want to be drinking even more soda of course. =)
