some time back I asked on the facebook Root Beer Hunters group if anyone could save some bottle caps for me as I was starting a project and needed a whole load. the amazing Layne of Pirate Island fame stepped up and offered to send me some. but he also sent me a whole amazing load of other stuff from his store which makes me sad I do not live nearby but so incredibly excited and thankful to him. there was freeze dried root beer float ice cream, a cool bottle opener, a root beer bottle wind chime as well as a bunch of root beers I had never had before! this right here was one of them and I have been wanting to get it myself for quite a while so that is even better! so thanks once again to Layne and if you are near his shop at any point, you should go there and get many things.
oh wow, this is really good! definitely one of the best root beers I have had in a long while. it is sweet in the perfect amount, creamy without being cloying and the carbonation is just right. along with that, the flavor is excellent, mainly a solid root beer taste but with what seems like some cinnamon and extra vanilla that set it apart but not in a way that it seems to be trying too hard. so it should appeal to the masses and the root beer snobs as well. this may have vaulted into the top 25, perhaps even higher. there are a few better sodas as they get a little more spicy which is the only thing holding this one back.
