Northern Soda Company Cinnamon Roll Root Beer

for father’s day this year Northern Soda Company put out a six pack of all different flavored root beers in cans! I know, what?!!? right?! that is the stuff dreams are made of. it is something which I think every soda bottlers should now be required to do. my awesome lady took my strong hinting and purchased said six pack for me even.
this was the first one I grabbed, no real rhyme or reason behind this one being selected first. the initial aroma definitely is one of cinnamon. that is a good sign. oh my golly gosh googly moogly, they have really canned the taste of a cinnamon roll with a little root beer flavor thrown in there! I only eat cinnamon rolls on rare occasions. they are the traditional breakfast for christmas morning around here and occasionally other holidays. the main reason is that they are super duper sweet. this soda has that part down as well, with 82% of your daily sugar intake in one handy can! that is 42 grams of sugar. I ran eight miles earlier so I will be ok yet that is seriously a lot of sugar. I like sweet things of course myself but this verges on the too sweet.
I look forward to the other five cans in the variety pack. hopefully this make this a tradition and do it every year. I would imagine it hard to come up with six new variations each year of course. there are at least twelve more that can be done before it gets weird. coffee, chocolate and molasses are obvious… well we shall wait and see.
