Thirsty Buddha Soda Root Beer

continuing with the theme of pro/pre-biotic root beers we have this offering from Thirsty Buddha Soda by way of Vince. and once again I really must sort my soda queue better as this was best by like 9 months ago. oops. eh, I am sure it is just fine, it is not like there are live cultures in here or something… now if it was probiotics, maybe it would be an issue? I don’t know, maybe they would multiple. I should just investigate this but I would kind of rather just ramble about it a while it seems. but this is actually better than the review I just about finished writing for Rebbl Pop root beer, which I realized I had reviewed like three years ago and was best by two and a half years ago. that does have prebiotics as well, so fiber and such. hopefully I do not get double sick now.
as with pretty much every root beer in this subgenre, this does not really taste like root beer. what does it taste like? I really don’t know. it has that stevia bitterness, does stevia really taste sweet to other people? this does have actual sugar in it as well but you would never know it. yeah, this is just a bitter, yucky mess. it starts off mellow, then the bitter metallic thing kicks in which fades to a little bit of a creaminess and then this sort of sour thing happens. so on the whole this is a terrible drink, I will not be finishing it, even for those 7 grams of fiber. oof. I hoped this would be good.
