huh. so Layne from Pirate Island fame sent me this along with a load of other amazing things. I figured I had had it before at first glance since I thought it was Private Label Specialties Root Beer but I compared the ingredients and info and it is a total other company! wow, that’s pretty rad! also do not confuse it with My Private Label Root Beer, which yes I reviewed last time. I guess it is the year of custom labels so far. now I will have to find out if this company makes a sarsaparilla or birch beer as well. or a diet version of any of this of course.
I should have known that Layne would only pick the best option to put his own brand label on, this one is tasty! it is very creamy and smooth, it goes down so very easily. it is not really a sipping root beer, which isn’t to say you can’t sip it but it really lends itself to being drank quickly and leaves you wanting to take another swig as soon as possible. the sweetness is very high as well but that adds to the quality. now, it could be a little more distinct, that is where it falls short a bit, the taste is too straight up expected root beer. throw in a little licorice or clove and this is top tier to me. even the head is tall and long lasting if you are concerned about such things.
