the final offering from Pittsburgh Soda Pop! i can stop buying liters of seltzer now i guess. unless i buy more extract that is. which i might do at some point, it was a pretty cheap way to get some yummy soda after all.
so on the one hand i am expecting something creamy and vanilla dominated from this beverage, but on the other hand, judging by the other flavors i have had i think this will taste basically the same as them. which will it be? let me mix it up and find out! ok, take out a cup and a half of seltzer, pour in the extract, gently mix it… presto! root beer!
so yeah, it was the second one. really does not taste very vanilla at all i don’t think. once again licorice is the prominent flavor coming through. i think it is less intense than the Licorice Root Beer but more intense than the American Classic. i think that is the sweet spot as i like this a bit better than either of those i would say. not that they were bad, just not exactly right. i really had hoped all of these varieties would taste totally different from each other but they don’t. i still have some of each of them and unless i labelled them i would have no idea which one was supposed to be which. and the tastes are so close in many cases. oh well.

Ok, that’s a lot of root beer offerings from one company. I’d love to see a company that bottles their root beer offer such a wide selection.
