this is a soda i have heard a lot about. perhaps since it is decently available for a low price in an area i am not in and i have not reviewed it. i did a trade to finally obtain some. which reminds me i have to send out my side of the trade still. i have it all packaged and ready to go but as i write this it is dead winter and i don’t want any bottles freezing and exploding all over the delivery people’s truck or plane or lap or the recipient’s mailbox or porch or whatever. so i wait a bit.
the design on this is pretty decent. from the image on it i now know that this is named after our 26th president, Mr Theodore Roosevelt. next to his image on the label, in a very very tiny font is “America’s Favorite” which i can assert pretty confidently is untrue. i mean, this is a microbrew soda, not even 1% of the country probably even know it exists. that may be why this claim is so tiny. they also say it is hand crafted and premium made. i am not sure what those claims entail but i sort of doubt them too. i don’t think a premium beverage should have high fructose corn syrup myself. or phosphoric acid. what?! why is that in there? pardon me while i google it up. ok, the truth place tells me things that scare me so i am going to drink as little of this as i can. i am actually kind of scared of most soda now. uh oh! i am curious what root beer would taste like without an acid. i have to check some stuff in my fridge and see what has what.
this is a solid soda though in any case. if you want a prototypical “root beer” flavor this is it. i am sure it would make a very good float. it is pretty smooth, lots of foamy head and a rich taste. yet it does not go beyond the expectation. i mean, i like it and i would grab it before most big market brands but i want a little extra in my sodas. that it comes in 1 L bottles makes me happier but the HF corn syrup brings it down.

i live in vacaville calif and i cant find the teddys rootbeerr any more i was able to get it at raleys but they sold out and did not get anymore rootbeer. where can i buy it at i like it its a great rootbeer thank you
sorry, i have no idea. perhaps you can contact the company and ask?
They sell it at Fred Myers in Fairbanks, AK. The diet is WAY too wintergreeny! I like wintergreen, but it’s an awful diet. The regular is pretty tasty but as stated above, anything with HF CS, makes me feel fat! Yuck!
I think they sell this stuff at Big Lots. I see it all the time, yet I never buy it because it’s in a plastic bottle and uses high fructose corn syrup.
I can only find teddt’s @dallor tree and there out most of the time were can i buy it @other locations
I did not care for this root beer much. It had a decent flavor, yet the thing that really really brought it down was the metallic/tangy flavor that it had. This soda tasted like it had been seeped in a metal vat and then shipped off – it was that tangy. Other than the weird metal tang, the flavor that was there was pretty decent; not amazing. If they used cane sugar and got rid of the metallic flavor, I believe this would be a much much better soda. Because of this, I have to give it only a 62.
For my 21 year wedding anniversary me and my wife went on a 4 state road trip, south Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and North Dakota. Not sure which state we were in when we found a bottle of this, But I bought one. We both thought the wintergreen flavor was way to strong, I viewed this more as a wintergreen soda, not a root beer. I like wintergreen, but this was to strong. I give it a 65
