the third of the four root beer offerings from this company! this one is supposed to be the “gourmet” one, like Wenhards or Kemper. we will see. those seem to taste fairly different to me, mainly since Kemper is honey sweetened.
i made this again using the recipe on their website, with 1 cup of sugar in 1 liter of water. but this one seems much sweeter than the previous two. that almost overwhelms it. which may be my fault but as i am going with what they told me to do, i will just chalk it up to the intended taste. this one lacks the spiciness of the other two entirely and instead is more straight forward. it tastes like a very solid root beer. i enjoy it though. for some reason i seem to go through the quart or so of soda much quicker than i go through a normal bottle. whether that means that these are extra yummy or hard to describe so i have to keep tasting it to get it right or maybe my daughter keeps swiping my drink i am not sure. anyway, i like it, but i think it lacks the distinctiveness of the first two formulations, so it falls a little in the ranking.
