Boylan’s Cane Sugar Birch Beer

huh, I never realized I never reviewed this reformulated version of their regular birch beer! good thing I checked! I believe the old formula was the second soda I ever reviewed. or perhaps just the second one after I decided to actually make a website about it and not just review them in my zine. it set the standard for what a birch beer should taste like in my mind for many years after. so I hope this is good.
yup, it is. pretty much what a brown birch should be. a healthy dose of wintergreen along with the yummy birch taste and some other “rooty” flavors in there as well. if anything is a knock on it it is a touchy too harsh in the carbonation but that is splitting hairs really. it is a solid drink with a nice head. if you want creamy go for the creamy redcreamy red version, this is not too smooth but that is the intention.
