That Sagi is a miracle worker I must say. Getting sodas from across the land at all times. i was not sure i would ever get my hands on this carbonated drink. they proclaim ‘Sun Valley’s Original Root Beer” on the can several times which is most likely true. I cannot think of any other sodas from that vicinity. i quite like their can, it stands out. it seems like a basic silver can with a sticker label, something i have never encountered before. it is definitely unique.
i usually like to try a soda before i read the ingredient list and in this case i am glad i did. holy wow, this is super molasses tasting! it completely jumps out at you. now i really really like molasses so for me this is good but if you do not, this is most definitely not the soda for you. beyond the molasses it is very sweet as well, probably too much so. it really is very syrupy when i look at it more subjectively. for me, i like sweet things so it is not the worst but it tastes much like a root beer barrel candy melted very quickly in your mouth. there is not a lot of carbonation either so that does not help its cause either. i find it quite funny that this has 2% of my calcium and potassium for the day. and 0% of my iron and vitamin D, i mean why even list those? it seems silly and pointless really. it is a good drink, with a little less sugar and more carbonation it could be super yummy.
