Grown-Up Soda Dry Root Beer

this one I will admit, I probably should not be reviewing again. the ingredients did not change but the nutrition info did, so….. kind of a new soda? they must have messed with the proportions somehow, right? maybe it is better now!
so GUS, or Grown Up Soda Dry Root Beer, how are you? the bottle and presentation is solid, they have changed that as well. it has root beer sort of style in the brown and white color scheme but it also has a photo of birch branches with vanilla bean pods and such in front of them. as those are the ingredients they are stressing here, it seems a fine thing to do.
nonetheless I cannot get into this. the flavor is just too subtle and the carbonation too rough. the vanilla is there and a faint root beer taste. the birch oil is not exactly jumping out at me at all though. the bubbles are more of the small feeling, sharp style bubbles like that found in seltzer or such things. I do not like seltzer. I imagine this drink might be more targeted to people who do enjoy such liquid refreshments. I do not know if that means I am not a grown up as defined by Utmost Brands who make this concoction, if so I am just fine with that. my tastes probably do trend towards the immature and not-grown up after. give me a good pie way before you give me some highfalutin wine or something. if it is any consolation, my lady, who does favor seltzer and such drinks quite enjoys this, so take that as you will. I did double its rating so maybe it did indeed get better, so maybe *gasp*, my tastes are becoming more grown up!! whoa….
