it took me a little while to figure out the name of this one. I settled on “Okolahoma Soda Company” although the lightening bolt separating “Okola” and “Homa” on the front label and also in the logo on the side of the label make me think maybe it was “Okola Homa Soda Company.” but then I went to the webiste and see it is actually “Okola-homa Soda Company” so I was wrong all around. I see too that they make a cranberry ginger ale and something called “Mr Twister” which is cherry vanilla spice which sounds delightful. yet since I acquired this in a trade with the amazing Julie and probably won’t ever be in Oklahoma anytime soon I will just have to live without knowing how those are.
but we are here to talk about this flavor, the root beer! it must be the best of the bunch by default, right? actually it is rather good. there is a nice smooth taste to it, the perfect level of vanilla making it quite creamy while there is a nice set of spices going on. there is also a little bit of a fruity side taste which I am quite happy about. it could use a little more carbonation and be a little more unique but overall I enjoy it very much. perhaps because I am quite thirsty right now, but it seems very refreshing and goes down easily.
