honey is probably my third favorite sweetener, of course after maple syrup and molasses, so I am always quite excited to try a new honey sweetened root beer! granted this also has cane sugar so that makes it a little less exciting but we shall see.
well, the honey is definitely part of the flavor profile but it is not the most prominent thing. really it could be more upfront for my tastes, especially for how much they seem to lean into the honey thing. there is a giant honey bee as well as a few bee and honey facts on the label. beyond that honey tinge is a fine if unspectacular root beer flavor. of course the honey does set it apart so it gains a few points from just a standard soda. if I take a few minute break from drinking, the honey does come to the front more so perhaps this should be more of a sipping sort of drink. I do enjoy the sweetness and carbonation overall though. it is a smooth drink as well. the nutrition info is rather wrong on here though, I mean 39 grams of carbs is more than 14% of the RDV I believe. it is a nice thought though. in any case I like the root beer but it doesn’t reach that high tier.
