it is pretty rare that someone presents me with a bottle or can of a root beer i had never heard of. even extracts and syrups at this point, i feel like i know what’s out there. or at least what is available and obtainable in my area. but this one was a surprise. that is a good thing. actually a couple days later i saw an article about it so it seems i would have discovered it shortly after, but no matter.
so the bottle says to mix it 1 part syrup to 10 parts seltzer. i did that. it is not good. at all. yeah, it is all natural and organic and all of that, woo hoo, whoop-d-doo! but at least make it taste good. it is bitter despite sugar being the first ingredient and honey thrown in there too. it is sort of herbal, in a tea type of way. that is fine. or could be fine but here it isn’t so much. i have had much worse drinks, granted.
