Mr Fizz Root Beer

so this soda came from Kentucky, that much I know. the last time i was in Kentucky though was for Krazy Fest in the summer of 2004 i think. but hey, canned soda lasts a long time, right? we shall soon see i suppose!
ok, it is fine, i am not dead yet, if you could not guess from the fact that this is in fact posted on the inter-tubes and not just on my computer monitor at the scene of my demise. although that would certainly help the authorities in determining the cause of death i guess…
so yeh, alive. this is an okay soda. generic and your standard picnic fare, as is to be expected from the can and all. it just appears generic to me. although in a pretty fun way i suppose. good use of the shiny silver background which could not be well captured by the photograph i took. if that is all you are after, a standard, safe root beer at a cheap price, then here you go. personally though this has made me break my new years resolution of not having high fructose corn syrup which did not last all that long i guess. i should make an exception for the sake of this site as it is really for the greater good that i get fat or whatever. i will just have to run an extra mile or two tonight i guess.

  1. Anthony – do you know who bottles it?

  2. sorry, i have no idea. i did not save the bottle either.

  3. Do you happen to know anyone filling growlers of root beer? Check out this growler preservation kit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJL3Wp69Aqw) and you’ll understand why I’m asking.

I long for the genuine old-fashioned taste of yesteryear’s root beer. In the early 60’ies, A&W root beer stands were awesome.

  4. a lot of companies fill growlers. not of this root beer though i don’t think. i will check out the video sometime soon, sounds interesting.
