I had heard about this brand of soda quite a while ago. it was a company founded by a former member of Motionless in White, a current guy in Breaking Benjamin and a couple other fellows. they had made a website and all sorts of press releases and so on. it was hard to avoid hearing about them if you were looking for new root beer companies with any sort of seriousness. they did a pre-release deal thing as well where you got a free pack of playing cards if you placed an order before they even made the stuff. luckily and happily for me, they also were putting out a butterscotch root beer and a birch beer, so getting three new drinks at once is quite awesome! I will get to them in due time though. today it is the day for the flagship brew, Parlor Root Beer.
they proclaim it “The Best F*cking Root Beer” but we shall see about that.
alright, it is good. they have the creaminess down very well, I will give them that. it is super smooth. i quite like the carbonation in this one, it is there but not rough or taking over the mouth feel, taste and experience. the root beer taste is nice as well, just a little bit watery at times and in general nothing special. that is, they don’t cover new ground or try anything different. as a pretty much straight root beer it is very good. I just like a little twist these days.
I look forward to the other flavors soon though!
