Stewart’s Beverages Diet Root Beer

well, as i reach that inevitable point where my fridge no longer contains any new sodas to review, i get a little nervous. granted i still have reviews scheduled out for about 7 months or so. nonetheless that is not a whole lot of time to find new things. but perhaps. of course there are almost always diet sodas i have never gotten around to! i did actually order a bunch of em so there may be an onslaught of them eventually. we will see. but this one i have tried to review several times. i even have a photo of it i took a few years ago already uploaded to the server.
i like regular Stewart’s ok, it is a decent default that is better than the plastic/can root beers which is easy to find. so will the diet version fill about the same niche in the diet root beer world? let’s find out, shall we?
hhhmmm, it is alright. the aftertaste is indeed there but it is less and not as offensive as some sodas. the rest of the taste though is not the best. it is hard to describe just how it is identifiable as “root beer.” i know it is, something in there, maybe the little bit of smooth-ness with the sharpness gives it away… it is very sharp, almost harsh, which may make the harsh aftertast not as much of a shock to the tongue. i would not buy it again unless i turned diabetic, but it is not terrible, just kind of bad. if i had to i could choke down the bottle. i would prefer not to though. there are so many other drinks i would rather have. maybe aspartame is the fake sweetener of choice, taste-wise. it still has a lot of health issues and other sketchy questions though so i shall avoid it except for these reviews. did anyone else out there notice how it is nearly impossible to find chewing gum without aspartame? when did Wrigley’s do that to me?! shame on them. so annoying. i had to mail order some Teaberry gum and some Beeman’s. stupid.

  1. Have you looked at what your site does in google chrome? It looks misaligned or something on mine. Is it just me or?

  2. it does look a little weird. ingredients are too much left as are some of the bulletted lists. i will see if i can fix that, but it is a real pain how every browser interprets stuff differently.
