Jersey’s Own Route 46 Root Beer

now, i live in New Jersey. I have a good amount of Jersey pride, i quite enjoy this state and all of its quirks and craziness. plus there are some very fine root beers made here. but this one eluded me for a long time. people would mention seeing it but not getting it for me as they thought that “of course i had it, it is from NJ!” i would look at their webpage and try to think of a reason to go to a store they say carries it even though they are all at least an hour away. finally i just gave up and mail ordered some. and then it took like 3 months to get my order, which is another issue.
so let’s pop this thing open, shall we? wow, good amount of carbonation release, nice bottling/seal job guys! ok, this has a very large foamy head on it! and it lingers, it does not just go away, it stays around like smelly cousin George after thanksgiving dinner. the taste is solid as well. not incredible but definitely up there. it is very highly carbonated as i said which gives it that tongue tickling sharpness. alongside that is a creamy side with some herbal undertones. this brew does have a different taste to it than your average root beer yet they don’t venture too far off the path or get too adventurous with it. it just has a hint of maybe cinnamon as well as a sweetness that is just about right. i am glad they made this one well and made the garden state proud once again. nice work!

Anthony, do you know if this available anywhere near Fort Lee? I have a friend there and might be able to look for it when I visit.
BTW, if you come to the City, let me know in advance so that I can hook you up with a bottle of Langer’s.
