i have probably gotten more emails offering to trade with me for this soda than the others combined. for some reason i just never got around to buying some of this. i think since i so rarely go to Wal-Mart and i only wanted to buy the minimum i had to but the soda machine was always broken or sold out of root beer. i finally gave up and just bought a six pack or maybe a twelve pack, i am not sure right now. so Wal-Mart got more of my cash than i would have liked.
wow, this does not even say it is Wal-Mart brand at all. well, in small lettering on the side it has “distributed by Wal-Mart stores, inc” but otherwise there is no indication of that anywhere. it does let you know it is “keg style” and caffiene free. what is “keg style” you may ask? i really have no clue. what other styles of root beer would there be? “3L bottle style!” “aluminum can style!” “glass bottle style!” i have seen “draft style” which makes a little more sense to me, but not a lot. i think they would be the same thing, keg and draft style as the draft would be taken from a keg most probably. yet this is the furthest thing from that. unless they filled and pressurized a keg and somehow got the soda into a can from there. which is possible, except it is probably gigantic vats and not kegs, but the concept would be the same. alright, fine, but then wouldn’t most soda be keg style? whatever, i am spending too much time, mine and yours, on this.
this actually is not very good. i mean, i did not expect it to top the charts but i figured it would be among the most generic of the generics. yet it has little taste. i get some sweetness and a little root beer flavor but not really very much. i know it is root beer as that is about all it tastes remotely like and of course i opened the can with “ROOT BEER” plastered on it real big but the taste itself is not prominent at all. a bit too much carbonation for my tastes too.

I gave this a 50, It was pretty weak and watery, no very root beer flavored either.
